Stokvel

At the beginning of the year 2022, Ruth Emmanuel-Makandiwa introduced the inaugural Femme De Substance Stokvel. With various categories in the stokvel, the ladies contributed fixed amounts of money toward the purchasing of their own Groceries, Household Electricals, Kitchenware as well Bed Linen and Towels. The initiative sought to help create order, discipline and excellence amongst the ladies. The power of this initiative is that it is also means of savings that helps ladies to budget their money and not to spend it all, through saving little so that they can achieve more.

As per the norm, the distribution process takes place at the end of the year with the ladies receiving their groceries and wares.
